One of the great experiences of my career, was to be part of launching the first, production based, all electric car. Hal Riney proposed the question, “Would you like to help launch the first electrice car?” Who could say no, especially when you ponder on who could be asked? General Motors EV1 was ahead of the public’s time to embrace it, yet you knew it would usher in the inevitable. And one day, in the not-too-distant future, the entire automotive world would follow in its tracks. After much thought about how we would describe the technology of this new way of going, we decided that the most industry changing thing we could say, it that, “The Electric Car is here.”
