I’ve been everywhere, man. I’ve been everywhere, man.

Crossed the desert’s bare, man.

I’ve breathed the mountain air, man.

Of travel I’ve a-had my share, man.

I’ve been everywhere.

Homage to Neptune

Tradition has it, that if you are going to make the journey to Antarctica, that you pay homage to Neptune for safe passage. Crossing the Drake Passage can be memorable to say the least, especially in the dark when you can only feel what you cannot see. The rise and fall of the ocean beneath you makes you realize that your boat is but a toy that it could consume, or allow you to pass through to calmer waters. One thing for certain, you will not forget the power of nature once you’ve made a crossing, that is far from everything and close to nothing. If you are granted right of passage, you will witness a place like no other place on earth. You get to do it again when you return to Ushuaia, Argentina. And you will tell stories of where the wild things are.
